Postponement of the National Autism Association's May 1st conference

Lynn was scheduled to speak on social cognition at the NAA's conference in King of Prussia, but it has been postponed until at least this fall, if not into next year, due to the necessary precautions being taken to fight the COVID-19 virus.  We will post more information when we have it!

Training and consultation at area school districts

In several local school districts, MMTA provides consultation and/or training to a range of personnel, from regular and special education staff to speech-language pathologists to support staff.   We sometimes work with student-specific teams, and sometimes work with whole teams or provide school-wide training.  Common areas of consultation include social engagement, social cognition (including Theory of Mind), pragmatic language (including conversation skills), communicative behavior strategies, and curricular adaptation for inclusive settings.  MMTA brings years of experience seeing students with significant social and communication needs from kindergarten through graduation and beyond.

Training, consultation, and direct service-provision at area private schools

MMTA provides support to several area private schools that are well-respected in our region, ranging from training to ongoing consultation to direct service-provision.  Schools benefit from the unique perspective, expertise, and team approach MMTA staff bring to these specialized school environments.  Families benefit when we are able to provide transitional support for a student moving from the public school setting to a private setting.
