Our Speech-Language Therapy Process

Intake Appointment

Come meet us! We will get a sense of your or your child’s speech and language needs, recommend therapy frequency, and assign a lead therapist and a therapy time slot.

Diagnostic Therapy

In the first weeks of therapy, the focus is on building rapport and informally assessing strengths and weaknesses to create a unique and dynamic treatment plan.

Personalized Therapy

Now therapy continues, based on the individualized treatment plan! Data will be reviewed with you every 3-4 months with new goals designed as needed.

Learn about our process for Evaluations

Records Review

After an intake appointment, we will email you a list of reports and forms we will need returned to us 2 weeks before the day of testing. We need this information to determine what assessments to give.

In-Depth Testing

It’s time to test! We will do all the assessments necessary to give you a thorough look at your child’s strengths and needs, to answer your questions, and we’ll have a little fun along the way.

Detailed Report

You’ll receive a comprehensive report that makes you say, “Yes! That’s them!”, with data, summaries, and recommendations for skills, services, and strategies unique to their communication profile.

  • "My son continues to make great progress towards his goals"

My 11 year old son, who has a dual diagnosis, has received speech and language therapy with MMTA for over five years. He also received speech therapy prior to us joining MMTA. While his speech greatly improved with his former therapists, as he got older, we realized that he needed a more specialized approach that would also focus on improving his pragmatic/conversational skills. His therapist, Alexa, is simply wonderful. My son also struggles with anxiety, but she patiently problem solves with him when he's feeling overwhelmed. He continues to make great progress towards his goals. We are very grateful for her and the entire MMTA staff. Thank you!

  • "MMTA constantly finds ways to keep my child engaged!"

We have been a client of MMTA for over 6 years. They have worked wonders for my daughter. The staff is amazing. They constantly find ways to keep the child engaged and motivated during therapy. They have a special way of entering your child’s world to make therapy fun and successful. My daughter would not be where she is today without MMTA!!

  • "My daughter looks forward to seeing her speech therapist"

Our daughter always looks forward to seeing her MMTA therapist, who ensures speech therapy is tailored, fun, and relevant for her. The work they do is designed to support and supplement her goals at school and home, and she's developed verbal and AAC device skills that are noticeably helping her schoolwork and friendships.

  • “Janice Mesaric and the MMTA team have made such a difference in my daughter’s life!”

My daughter has a diagnosis of ASD and has been a client of MMTA since June 2019. The strides she has made with her speech and communication continue to be significant under the lead of Janice Mesaric and the support of the MMTA team. The program through MMTA has been successful for my daughter because MMTA views the “whole child”. MMTA has worked closely with my daughter’s school team and other private therapists to ensure approach and goals have been consistent to help her succeed. I would highly recommend MMTA to anyone seeking services.
