Summer Social Coaching Groups for 8-22 Year Olds
MMTA’s summer social coaching groups are back for 2026!
We believe strongly that for a group to be successful, participants in the group need to be well matched both in age and in ability. To help us make that happen, please plan to attend a FREE social event so we can meet your child, teen, or young adult! See the event called “Shake your Shamrock Social” on March 13, 2026 for more information.
In the summers we also sometimes offer shorter, more intense groups that run for a week at a time, daily, and focus more intensively on a few particular skills. For middle and high school ages and some younger groups, we also require at least one, 15-30-minute 1:1 therapy session where pre-teaching and post-analysis (individual coaching) occur. Goals/Lessons are individualized for each specific group based on the social engagement and/or social cognitive needs of its members.

Weekly Speech & Language Playgroup
Come join the fun, weekly on Tuesday mornings from 11-12. No commitment required, but please register if you’ll be joining us!
Get-To-Know-You Social
This free MMTA Get-To-Know-You social is an opportunity for individuals interested in an MMTA summer social coaching group to see our clinic, meet our staff, and socialize with peers! Come participate in games, conversation, and maybe even a little dance party!
MLK Day of Service - free social event!
Join us for a free social gathering in honor of MLK Day of Service on January 20, 2025. This event is designed for individuals ages 10-21 who would like to join peers for fun and service! Activities will include kindness rocks, cards for seniors, and, if the weather permits, trash pick-up on the park trail adjacent to our parking lot.
